Our student athletes demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship and dedication, securing top honors across multiple track and field events.
It was a historic day for Silverdale Schools Lagos at the annual Regional Athletics Championship. Competing against 24 elite schools, our athletic squad delivered an outstanding performance, securing a total of 15 gold, 8 silver, and 5 bronze medals.
From the explosive 100m sprints to the endurance-testing 1500m race and high-jump events, our students showcased the results of months of disciplined preparation. The crowd was treated to a spectacular showcase of stamina, speed, and peer support.
Special recognition goes to our senior girls relay team, who set a new tournament record. Their flawless baton handovers and strategic pace control earned them a standing ovation and cemented Silverdale’s position as a powerhouse of regional athletics.
Our principal commended the team, noting that "to excel is our motto, and today these children showed what it means to push beyond limits." We thank our dedicated PE department and parent community for their unwavering encouragement.
